Alfred Masterworks
Buying a book of chopin nocturnes?
Is the alfred masterworks book of chopin nocturnes good? I couldn’t find many reviews online, but I’m kind of learning towards it because it has spiral binding and it’s sold in my local music store… but I have no idea about the actual content.
I’m also thinking about the Paderewski edition , from online previews I think I prefer and am more used to the fingerings on there, and how the notes are printed/ spaced. I’m a very visual learner so it does make a difference. But I heard its a really hard book to keep open, which really annoys me if that is the case and also I’m not sure where to buy it. (Do they sell it in most music stores? I’d rather not order online, its a hassle and shipping to canada is always pricey))
I also found Nocturnes and Polonaises: The Paderewski edition, published by dover… does that stay open easily? how is the binding on this book
