Great Metalcore Sounds With Escape The Fate
Las Vegas, Nevada is the place of origin of metalcore, post hardcore band Escape the Fate. To date, this energetic group has music merch consisting of three EPs, six singles, two albums and eight videos under their belt.
Past Story
The band was put together in 2004 in Pahrump, Nevada. At that time, its members were Bryan Money, Omar Espinosa, Ronnie Radke, Max Green and Robert Ortiz. Within two years, they were able to come up with their initial EP tagged “There’s No Sympathy for the Dead.” The very first Escape the Fate album “Dying is Your Latest Fashion” contained two songs from this first EP. Unfortunately, before this was even released, keyboardist Carson Allen took off to join On the Last Day.
The tour Black on Black saw some participation from this band. Unfortunately, it was during this event that Omar Espinosa who handled rhythm guitar left because of personal reasons. After this, vocalist Ronnie Radke was taken out of the group after members forced him out due to legal problems that had resulted in Radke being sentenced to prison. Former Bless the Fall band member Craig Mabbitt jumped in to cover for Radke. What was meant as a temporary solution however eventually became a permanent one as Mabbitt is still onboard for the position. The current lineup also includes Robert Ortiz on drums, Bryan Money on bass guitar and Max Green on lead guitar.
Released Albums
“Dying Is Your Latest Fashion” was the first studio Escape the Fate album released on September 26, 2006. All of the tracks were composed and written by Ronnie Radke. Of the eleven tracks, nine of the songs were original while the other two came from their first EP “There’s No Sympathy for the Dead.” A Japanese bonus track was also released called “Look Your Best”.
Their second studio album was released roughly two years after the first. Called “This War Is Ours”, Craig Mabbitt took the spotlight and seamlessly mixed in his vocals with the band’s hardcore sounds. The album’s length wasn’t as long as the first (38:24), but the Deluxe Special Edition followed with two new tracks that were never introduced before along with one previously unreleased remix and an acoustic version of the song “Harder Than You Know.” The deluxe album also came with a DVD that features a few music videos along with a world tour documentary and some behind the scenes. This album was released very recently on April 27th 2010.
During the 2009 Warped Tour, Escape the Fate revealed plans for a third album. The work on it is already well underway since recording began by the end of 2009. Originally this third album was scheduled for release in spring 2010. The release to every local band store however has been pushed to summer of 2010. This piece of work is anticipated for many reasons one of which is the participation of Motley Crue member Mick Mars in writing some of the demo songs.
