how old do you have to be to buy a boat?
Okay well i am 17 and found a boat i would like to buy at bass pro shops. It is a bass boat and is $8,000. I have $10,000 cash. I am wondering if i would b able to drive there and buy it that day (it comes with a trailer) and drive it home or what? I have no idea
You need to check the laws and regulations in your state. Most states allow a 16 year old to operate but some require you to be 18 to own a boat (or at least register it).
Check with your state boating authority.
