Can Dream Cant
why do people say The Blind cant dream?
they say just cause they cant see they cant dream
i dont think that is neccesarliy true.
also, do they really see pich black since they cant see at all?
or is it like when we close our eyes we can kinda see like shadows or u can tell when the lights go on or off.( if u understand what im saying)
all this stuff i heard about & it got me thinking
People who are blind from birth, of course, still dream; because their brains still function and have to work things out in their unconscious. However, the “seeing” part would simply be different. Imagine it this way: move your arm in a circle. Now, close your eyes and “experience” what that “looks” like without the picture of it. You are actually experiencing it without a needing a mental “photograph” of it. It is that way for blind people.
Also, the level of their blindness depends on why they’re blind. Consider this–some people have no eyes at all, such as, due to cancer. These people are definitely going to see pitch black, or see nothing at all. But, they experience the world in a different way. So, they dream what they experience. Most of what we experience aren’t pictures, anyway. They are feelings in our subconscious and unconscious minds. Mix in that they have sensation, like touch and smelll–and the memory of hearing in their dreams, and they probably have vivid dreams–just different than those with sight.
