Cant Have You
What do you do when you cant handle being sober?
I just get really down about my life and i want something to get me through those times. Its so hard to feel things sometimes.
I have a friend who can get me coke – which ive never done before but i dont drink much alcohol anymore so i kind of want to try that instead.
Yea you can call me stupid but ive already taken sleeping pills and i cant do them anymore or ill make myself sick so i need something else or some other way to deal with it.
I’ve been clean and sober 3 years and I wonder the same thing sometimes. Fortunately, I have a support group of friends through AA that I can call. They remind me of all the sh*t that happened when I drank and used drugs. The hangovers, the wasted $$, the strange guys I brought home, how I almost got evicted many times, how I was suicidal….the list goes on.
Since I got sober, I got on meds for my anxiety and psychotic depression. I CAN’T drink or do drugs now because of weird drug interactions that may make me sick or kill me. Believe me, I’m still depressed. I have a hard time making it through the day but, like I said, I have AA that helps. I’m not pushing it on you, I’m just telling you what works for me.
