Collection Saxophone
choosing mandolin or sitar?

ok not the most important issue ever but i’m still stuck on it after 2 years of consideration. im a very open minded musician, i currently play guitar, bass, saxophone, clarinet, violin, cello, banjo and piano. each year i add another instrument to my collection, but for the past 2 years i have been considering a mandolin or a sitar, but i can’t choose which to get first, last month i was sure to get a mandolin first but now i’ve done some more research on the sitar and found out what its like in greater detail i can’t choose again.
i love the mandolin for the country music and the mellow sound of it, but i love the sitar because its completely different and its great for stuff that sounds spiritual which is the thing that made me want one in the first place. they’re both so awesome. but i was hoping some fellow musicians could tell me about what types of sitars there are and whether to go for a sitar or mandolin, help please?

i would either go with a mandolin or a mandola. A mandola is just a fat mandolin.
Personally i think sitars sound a bit annoying. A mandolin would be a hell of a lot easier to learn too. I have managed to teach myself just by using internet tabs and my knowledge of the violin(which has the same tuning).
