Conductor Score Marching
Hey i need some help?
Hey i am running for Drum major (conductor) in my marching band for the fall. For my tryout i have chosen to use the song The Egg travels from the movie dinosaur by james newton howard. However i cannot figure out what “time” it is in. can u help. If not can you help me find a new song. Any original score that has no words to it works thatnks =)
It is a waltz. 6/8 or perhaps 3/4 time. Isn’t there a music store near you? You don’t have to buy it, but if they have it, you can look up the time. I think that song is in a book (with other songs from the movie http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/a/item.html?id=69435&item=3635479# ), but not sure about loose sheet music. I couldn’t find it available for download. Maybe even a public or university library near you might have it, and you might be able to check that online or over the phone.
