Flavored Baritone Saxophone reeds?
Im trying to find flavored reeds for the Baritone Saxophone perferably in orange…I have checked Flavoreeds.com and they only have it for Alto and Tenor. Please help….
It’s because little kids usually don’t start on baritone sax and they’re made for like 8 year olds. The average student is used to cane flavor and doesn’t think about it anymore and any professional will choke at the thought of modifying reeds. Flavored alto reeds are Terrible, not to mention loaded with chemicals, cut awful and cause the sound of the instrument to suffer. It’s kinda like why you aren’t supposed to have juice or anything but what while you’re playing- the keys stick and it ruins the pad covering.
I’m an oboist (who works as a church musician), so I certainly know how it goes since my instrument is double reeded.
