What is a good french horn quartet for the high-school player?
The rest of my horn section and I want to learn a good french horn quartet by the end of the school year and perform it. Any suggestions?
Look up Lowell Shaw’s collection of Fripperies.

Let It Bleed $8.49 One of the Stones’ most beloved albums, 1969′s Let It Bleed was a benchmark for several reasons. First, founding guitarist Brian Jones died during the recording process. Second, the Stones take their last significant look at pure blues (Robert Johnson’s spooky “Love in Vain”) and country (“Country Honk,” the two-stepping alter ego of “Honky-Tonk Women”) before folding both styles into a cohesive r… |

While surprisingly more linear than the later Quadrophenia, Tommy boa… |

The Day After Tomorrow [VHS] $5.87 Supreme silliness doesn’t stop The Day After Tomorrow from being lots of fun for connoisseurs of epic-scale disaster flicks. After the blockbuster profits of Independence Day and Godzilla, you can’t blame director Roland Emmerich for using global warming as a politically correct excuse for destroying most of the northern hemisphere. Like most of Emmerich’s films, this one emphasizes special effect… |
