From Bye Bye
Eagles chances of stealing a first round bye from the Vikings?

How the mighty have fallen… Favre is hitting his annual late-season wall… the Saints look like crap for the second straight week. The Eagles are on their late-season hot streak as usual, what do you think of their chances of stealing a first round bye from the Vikings? The Birds are (10-4) and the Vikings are (11-3), if they both finish with the same record the Eagles win the tie-breaker.

I just have to put this out there, why is everyone hating on favre? The guy is 40 years old and still playing at Probowl level. I just dont understand it. Of course hes going down hill at the end of the season, but your telling me that you would rather have tavaris jackson in?? Like seriously, give the man some credit. And for all of you criticizing him, saying hes a qb/coach, thats a load of crap. Childress is a clown who wanted to pull favre when they were winning 7-6. If you were a player, would you really want to be pulled mid-game? So he argued with childress, just like Phil Simms argued with Bill Parcells back in the giants 1986 superbowl run, and countless other times. People need to lay off favre. and your answer, yes, the eagles will most likely end up wiht the same record as the vikings.

Cars – Complete Greatest Hits

$8.88

If rock’s most successful and memorable acts have usually succeeded by wrapping their own distillation of music history and personal tastes in whatever fashionable trappings are currently gripping the culture, it’s hardly surprising that the Cars remain one of the most enduring symbols of the punk/new wave era. This 20-track anthology distills that argument perfectly. Ric Ocasek’s songs embody a s…

After establishing her screen career with supporting roles in The Big Chill and The Natural, Glenn Close made her starring debut in the title role of this tepid comedy–an example of the “body-switch” movie trend of the mid-1980s. No doubt Close sensed tour-de-force potential in playing a virtuous San Francisco wife and Catholic bishop’s secretary whose body is possessed by the vampy spirit of a 1…
