im stuck at piano playing?
i feel like i hit a wall. I basically am at a plateau, i don’t know how to get better.
i self taught myself piano and i have been playing piano for 5 years…
i have a 61 keyed keyboard. i really don’t know how to get better.
i usually get better by playing a song that i find interesting (good harmonics and melody) that’s currently above my level…
i would do scale practicing but it gets extremely boring to quickly and playing a song that i find interesting that’s a few degrees above my level is an easier way to enhance my skills. plus, i mastered scaling.
if you guys know of any piano songs that might strike my attention as being better than me and catch my attention, OR different practices (no hannon) that will help me, please list them THX

yknow what you should do? you ought to take a piece that you LOVE that’ll make you say “oh, damn, i’ll never be able to play this” and work your ass off at it. i did this too, and even though i never perfected the piece i tried to learn, it rose my technique by SO much that the in between pieces from that crazy hard piece to what i was learning before became a lot more manageable.
