The Alliance Guide Detailing The Alliance Races
The World Of Warcraft is divided into two very distinct political factions – the Alliance and the Horde. In this Alliance guide, you will find critical information on the races that compose this faction, with important background information relevant to each race.
The Horde and the Alliance are both split into five different races with the Alliance being comprised of the Draenei, Humans, Dwarves, Night Elves and Gnomes. On the other hand, the Horde is comprised of the Blood Elves, the Orcs, the Tauren, the Trolls and the Undead.
{The Draenei}
The Draenei comprises of what remains of the uncorrupted Eredar, a magic-wielding class who once occupied the planet Argus. The Eredar arose from Argus countless millennia ago and only 25, 000 years ago was peace broken in the world of Argus after a new group of corrupted Eredar – the Man’Ari – formed and led the Burning Legion.
The Draenei swore allegiance to the Naaru race after they were saved from the persecution of the Man’Ari. Thus, the Draenei works hard to realizing their goal of joining the Army of Light as promised to them by the Naaru.
As a general rule, the Draenei follow religious professions such as paladins and priests as well as magical professions like mage and shaman. Other available classes are Hunter, Warrior and Death Knight.
{The Humans}
In a world that is ever spiraling down to darkness, the Humans are struggling to preserve all they consider important to the survival of their race. They have fought alongside their allies in the First and Second War to reclaim their home city, the Stormwind, and to win back and restore Alliance’s stronghold, the Azeroth. With examples from legendary King Llane and Sir Lothan, the Humans are wielding all their might to protect what is now the last bastion of the human civilization – Stormwind. With their strength and valor, Humans usually like become Warriors, Rogues and Death Knights, Mages, Priests, Paladins, and Warlocks.
{The Dwarves}
The mountains of Khaz Modan are the haven of the stoic, robust humanoids called the Dwarves. The past ages have seen the Dwarves as content living within among themselves, ever perfecting their stone and metal crafting skills. But when they are called to battle, the Dwarves are quick to respond with help to their friends and allies. Dwarves, armed with their unique valor and courage, often end up becoming Hunters, Priests, Paladins, Rogues, Death Knights and Warriors.
{The Night Elves}
The Night Elves are the immortal first-born of the World. They are immortals who first delved into the study of magic and thereby the first who let it loose throughout the WoW Universe.
As a people, they have remained cloistered in their holy mountain of Hyjal for many thousands of years, but are now awakened to once again help shape the world. Because they consider themselves the first-born of the World, they look at their mortal neighbors as lesser beings. Professions available to the Night Elves are Druids, Rogues, Priests, Hunters, Warriors, and Death Knights.
{The Gnomes}
The Gnomes are without a doubt among the most peculiar races in the World of Warcraft. They are exceptionally brilliant and eccentric and are generally obsessed with formulating new and radical technologies and engineering. Gnomes typically become Warlocks, Rogues, Mages, Warriors, and Death Knights depending on the suggestions of the Alliance guide you are following.
