Kids Guitar Course
How can I get started with my dream of playing guitar? I’m scared and clueless.?
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to play guitar, but my parents made me play clarinet, piano, saxophone, all classical music of course. So I became very good at clarinet, went to college for music, was a good musician and all that baloney. Now I’m staying home with my kids and I feel like I can finally do what I want to do- play my guitar! I want to play blues/folk music and write my own songs. I’ve been practicing of course, getting my chords down and writing songs… But my question is this- where am I going to play? I don’t want to do the local community band thing, how lame is that. I’m just feeling so lame, so laaame. I was considering going to see some other performers to get a sense of what music is played where and doing open mic nights? EEEP i’ts scary isn’t it?
