The output tray contains an extender that accepts paper as long as 14″. Whilst this printer is not equipped to handle double-sided printing as shipped, Kodak does provide an add-on duplexer.

Featuring a simple menu, the control panel contains a 3″ LCD screen that pivots to allow for optimal viewing. The control panel includes buttons which let the user to choose the desired function (copy, print, scan). In addition, there are buttons related to photo printing, which includes zoom and rotate. The printer allows for printing a proofsheet plus file transfers between cards and storage media hooked up to the printer and the computer. Kodak claims that the printer expends less ink than various brands. The printer displays four ink colours as well as black for non-photo text printing. There’s also a translucent coating that’s applied to all photos in an attempt to protect them. To keep the price of ink cartridges low, the print head is displayed on the printer instead of the cartridge. A page of black text costs roughly .03 US per page plus a page of colour text costs about .07 US.
