How should I redo my room?
So my parents said I can redo my room and I can’t decide what I want. Price doesn’t really matter,but it can’t be $400 for a pillow or something like that.
I hate girly stuff. Flowers,pink,sparkles etc. And now I don’t like polka dots anymore.
I like edgy and cute stuff. I also like vintage.
I can get up to three different colors of paint. So I was thinking of painting my room white,then painting my cabinet and drawer different colors. I think you can do that.
I like black,white and turquoise color scheme but I’ve been thinking and I almost don’t want that in my room.
I love hard/indie/alternativee rock, if that helps.
I’m not a fan of really bright colors but little accents would be fine, (ex. pillows,lights,sheets.)
I also have old highway signs like, no u turns and do not enter. Sooo yeahhh. Any ideas. I know it’s a lot. If you need more info just email me..Thankss. (:
ok there is an awsome room theme that is dark dark purple and it has a darkish green. you can get window valances for it and rugs. you can do dark purple accents such as lamps and floor mats if you want. if you have a dresser it can be done in the dark green. this room theme is found @ :
if you don’t like that type of theme you can do a hollywood theme. by this i mean deep natural colors like a dark red or purple, something like that. you can get opposite or matching color accents like sheets and window curtains. for a hollywood theme you can also do vintage door and window beads. for pillows i would suggest some of maybe movie stars ( for HOLLYWOOD !! ) nice largge posters of stars or of hollywood landscape photos would be an extra touch. if you have any hollywood or beverly hills license plates that would be a really vintage extra to add. I have a wallpaper that has hotspots from all around holly wood and it has film strips and stuff. i havn’t used it yet because i can’t deside on my room theme.
another option would be paul frank ( found at kohls.) its kind of a bad girl bedspread. by this i mean it has black and white stripes , and skulls and crossbones. not much to say about the bedspread . you can paint your dresser or desk black and maybe put some peel designs on your door,closet,and headboard on your bed. these are stencils you can purchase by many different things and you can use paint ot make it. for my old room i had a stenciled wavelike pattern around all the top of my room and on my closet door. it actually turned out pretty cool.
my last choice would be a character theme. i know they make acdc bedspreads and stuff and you could match that with blakc or red curtains and valance. you could get a red,white, or black rug. for an extra touch you could have accents of a painted desk and matching dresser. painting your door could give it a change also. to give a vintage touch you could add acdc ( or band choice/character choice ) items such as posters,bobble heads, bags, jewelry, shirts, and etc. you can hang this stuff or display it on top of your dresser etc.
character themes aren’t the only way to go. if you go to walmart they have something called bed-in-a-bag. they have some pretty cool stuff. it usually comes with a bedspread,pillowcases, valance, and more !! I really hope this helps, im in the same situation !!
