Mixed Lot Classical

How well should I know one language before starting to learn another?
I have been taking spanish for two years, and I can read simple spanish signs and labels, and hold a very small conversation in spanish. (Like, I can read the signs on the bus in spanish and stuff like that). I have been studying classical music, and a lot of it is in Italian. I really want to take a class in Italian too next year, outside of school. I will be in high school Spanish 3. I know the languages have many similarities, but I don’t want to get them mixed up, or ruin my spanish education. How well should I know one language before starting to learn another?
2 things. 1, after 2 years of spanish, u shud know it much better than what u say u do. instead of relying on ur highschool classes, find someone online who wants to practice their english in exchange for practicing spanish with you. u shud be reasonably fluent in 6 months. 2, do the same with italian. plus, read both spanish and italian at least 30-60 mins a day every day, and if u can’t figure something out, post it on here or ask ur new chat pals.
