Being Both A Painter And A Musician
In the world of this artist, art and music go together. Coming from Fredrick, his house was always filled with music and paintings. As he went to school he then learned that not all the children had a knack for drawing or singing. Letting go of his artistic talent so he could concentrate on music during his teen years is what he did and now this is what he does for a living. Rather than washing cars he preferred to play in bands to earn money. To read other paintings articles make sure to visit portrait artist website.
In the next 30 years of his life he would still be playing music. It was not about 12 years ago that he decided to explore painting again. Currently painting has come back to his life. Like in his younger years, he is both a musician and a painter. Recently his paintings have been identified to have more ideas behind them.
To learn more about oil painting he asked his friend who was a fellow musician for some lessons. With the guidance of his mentor he was able to learn his realistic style. Due to the lessons he took he was able to make a painting that was chosen as a promotional print the year it was painted, and a portrait of a long haired, white cat.
The result is the message you want to send. Normally ne targets emotions and checks a certain scene to see where that is. He targets the most flattering image when making portraits for people. Essentially you want the right lighting when it comes to flattery. Further your knowledge on paintings at portrait painting in oil.
Your images will become more three dimensional if you are able to capture the right lighting and shadow depth. His medium is watercolor but most people think it is oil. He finds it easier to work with watercolor since it is not technical.
In one of his painting jobs, he was asked to paint a mural for a couple who live in the Clover Hill section of Frederick. One whole wall in their home is now covered with colonial Williamsburg which he painted. For the couple, the scene represents one more element in their passion for anything that reminds them of the early American village. Showing an image of a fiction street, the mural measures 10 feet wide by 4 feet tall.
Having added some wagons and people dressed in colonial garb and hollyhocks it mural seemed more real now. Normally he would work about six to 12 hours a day four days a week for the project. The other three days he saves to rehearse for his performances. Paintings can take one physically and mentally. Being focused is very important here.
