Music Can Improve Your Overall Health
There is a lot of research available today that shows how music can be very beneficial to our health and quality of life. I do not know about you but I think most people like some form of music. Heat disease, asthma, Alzheimer’s, have been getting treated for years with music therapy, by certified therapist.
Music stimulates the release of pain masking Endorphin’s in the brain. You can ease your pain with as little as 1 hour a day of music listening. This can reduce the cost and need of prescription pain medicine.
Music can also be very beneficial when using guided imagery. You focus on an image that you want to produce a sensation that creates the emotions you want to feel. What you do is focus on an image that results in you feeling a certain way. If you add some music to it – it will be stronger.
Follow these steps to do it. Find a nice quiet place in your home where you can sit and relax. Have a seat, shut your eyes, and elevate you feet. Pick out some music associated with the feeling you want to produce.
Then you can sit back and think of the image, breathe deeply and focus. If you lose focus, concentrate on the music again. Stay seated and relax for as long as possible after the music stops.I listen as I’m walking on my cheap treadmill.
The longer you do this the easier it will get and more beneficial also. Practicing will help you get better and you will be able to focus anywhere. Consistent focus will help you to achieve the same results anywhere you are.
How do you sleep at night? Do this for four weeks and it could improve your sleep habits. The music therapy is called brain music therapy and produces extra melatonin which helps you sleep better.
