Mp3 Players – Music And Video On The Move
Music used to be played only in the home on large equipment and the quality was scratchy at best. As the decades have gone by we have progressed from vinyl to tape to CD to MP3. Although some audio purists may claim that vinyl is better and offers a greater quality of sound you can’t really carry your albums around with you for listening on the train or when at the gym.
Portable audio players are now typically MP3 players as they are a digital format that’s stored in memory cards or hard drives, this is convenient as you don’t have to eject the tape or CD if you want to listen to a different album or artist. It also makes creating a mix tape really easy as you can create custom playlists on most MP3 players these days so you can have music you want to listen to when running on the treadmill to motivate you or an easy listening playlist to enjoy after you return home from a long hard day at work.
Considering some MP3 players now have hard drives up to 160 Gigabytes in free space that means you could carry round 40,000 songs so there’s a good chance that if you put the playlist on random you wouldn’t hear the same song for a good few days or even weeks! Carrying a record shop’s worth of music around with you is something we wouldn’t have dreamed possible as recently as a few years ago.
Whilst it is all well and good being able to take our MP3 players around with us, when we get home we’ll often want to listen to the music out loud, not with headphones in. There are many well known hi fi manufacturers who now sell speaker systems that connect to MP3 players and broadcast your tunes throughout the room, this in not only great for listening in the home but at parties where people can find a song they like and act like the DJ for a night.
MP3 players these days are even using modern technology such as solid state memory instead of hard drives so that there are no moving parts involved which could cause problems when moving a lot when the MP3 player is in operation. There are plenty of MP3 players now on the market that use these solid state storage devices meaning they are perfect for joggers and people going down to the gym.
MP3 players are almost as common as carrying your wallet and house keys these days and are perfect for whatever situation you’re in and want to listen to some music.
Check out the MP3 players and hi fi systems to welcome a wide world of music, audio books and podcasts into your life.
