ALTO SAX NECKSTRAP!!!!!!?

okay so i just got my alto sax at school for marching band and who ever use it before me sweat a lot and it stinks so i was wondering if i put it in the washing mashing would like dissolve or idk umm like break or something is not leather the type is Neotech or something like that.PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

Why not just buy your own neck strap from a music store? They are inexpensive – and then it will be yours and you don’t have to share with someone else’s neck-sweat! . If you prefer to try to wash the school one, I’d hand wash it with some mild soap.
