Orchestra Study Score

Why is my SAT so low?
Okay, so I have been in four AP classes, AP World History, AP Government, AP Language and AP Literature. I have also done other really hard classes and orchestra. My GPA is a 3.2. My SAT score is 1070 TOTAL. I have no idea how. One reason was because I didn’t study, but there’s people out there a lot more stupid than me who got higher. Could I have been overthinking?
I must have been overwhelmed. It was my first time taking it. -.- And my mom won’t pay again because she thinks the test is pointless and stupid. We can’t afford for it anyways. And I’m pretty sure I am smart since I’ve gotten A’s in my AP classes and did well on the exams. Unless I counted my SAT score wrong… Eh, the colleges I’m applying to the SAT isn’t required anyways.
I would suggest retaking the SAT. Although it is difficult to “study” for parts of the SAT, you should at least know the format of the test, what parts are tested, and have a general feel for the time constraints per section.
There are lots of practice books out there; if you take a practice test under real testing conditions (time yourself, actually bubble in the answers, etc), you can see how well you’re doing, and whether or not you are improving your score (by taking multiple practice tests over a period of time).
Finally, you can also dramatically bomb your score if you make a critical error such as bubbling in answers that are off-by-one.
