Why is my saxophone sqeaking so bad?
We just got all th pad redone on my alto sax last week. I’ve played it probably 5 times since then and it squeaks REALLY bad. What could be the reason for the squeaking?
I’m using 2 1/2 reeds.
You need to ask your Band Director and/or Sax Instructor. There Are many reasons why this is happening, reeds, a lousy Repair Tech, you, and the list could go on. None of us on the Infernal Nets can see or hear you or the horn, and cannot evaluate all the possibilities. It just is not possible. You need a Real Human Being for this.
