Why Should You Learn to Play the Piano

You probably already know that singapore piano playing is an exciting talent to develop. If you favor jazz music, you will be familiar with jazz greates like Count Basie or Duke Ellington. You might be partial to jazz artists, there have been many who have reached the pinnacle of success in that music genre.

One piano player and composer who is very adept at playing different genres is Jim Brickman. Brickman’s music can usually be heard not just from jazz radio stations but also where pop, inspirational and new age songs are played.

You may be more interested in the rock keyboard players. Some notable rock pianists are: Rick Wakeman of Yes, Dennis D Young of Styx, Tony Banks of Genesis, and David Sancious who have accompanied Springsteen, Santana and Sting. Other rock piano stars include Elton John, Carole King, Paul McCartney, Carly Simon and Billy Joel.

Even if you have never liked classical music before, you might begin to enjoy it once you have started to play the piano in singapore. It offers a wonderful challenge and can be very satisfying once you learn it. Some of the greats are Bach, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schubert, and Brahms.

There are other benefits to playing the piano as well. One, it offers relaxation. When you are feeling down and out, you can count on your music to lift your mood. If you are angry, playing the piano can release your frustrations. Your playing will bring calm and assurance if ever you are anxious about something. If you are feeling down, you can start with slow songs and build up to more up-tempo, happier-sounding songs. This will often lift your sad mood.

If you do end up playing professionally, you can gain a source of income from your piano playing. Many piano player don’t really earn a lot from their playing, sometimes, just the little amount that they get from tips. While the really talented and lucky ones earn fabulous amounts of money for their playing.

One other reason that people play the piano is to develop self-discipline. If you are like many people who undertake an endeavor but loose interest quickly, then the piano might just be the thing for you. It will satisfy your needs at different levels, that you feel inspired to continue playing and working at it.

Learning to play the piano is easier in some ways than learning other types of music. Vocal lessons will teach you more about pitch control and definition. You have to watch that you don’t slide to a note below or above what you intend to sing. With a piano, you only need to worry about it if your piano gets out tune. This seldom happens and can be fixed by a piano technician.

The main reason anyone should learn to play the piano is for their own fulfillment. No matter what that means to you, you will be happy when you have strived to reach your full potential. You will certainly feel happy and accomplished when you’ve played a song perfectly. You will be a happier person for letting music into your life.
