Piano Course Technic

How far will I get with a cello/double bass?
I’m 14 years old, and my school is offering a beginner strings course that I signed up for. The instruments provided are the violin, viola, cello and double bass. I’m more interested in the cello and double bass because they have a lower tone (which I really like).
I’ve played piano for 6 years so I’m familiar with the technical aspects of the music. I’m worried that my fingers might not be strong enough to play. I’d also consider viola but I really want to play either the cello or double bass.
The course will be running for around 5 months so I probably won’t be amazing by the time it ends; I’m just going there for the experience. Are either instruments hard to start out with? Is it hard coordinating your hands? Any other advice would be appreciated.
Thank you!
With your piano experience you are way ahead of the game.
Finger strength should not be a problem.
In the future transporting the instrument can be harder than viola. The Viola Cello and Bass are always in demand.
If you like melody, Cello is your best bet.
Good Luck
