How to read and play music?
I am currently playing out of “Piano Play along: Movie Music Vol. 1″ the piece is “Where do I begin” the theme song from love story. In music I know that there’s the grand staff which includes the base cleff and the treble cleff (a part for the left and right hand) but in the sheet music here, there are two treble cleffs! they are are all generally conected except the bottom treble cleff is hooked together with one of these ” [ " with the base as it would normally be and the first treble cleff sits on top but it's connected. kind of like this: http://www.australiancomposers.com.au/new/media/echo_flute_piano.GIF
now that i look at it, this is a book for guitar and piano-- could the top staff be the notes for the guitar and then the grand staff for piano? lol sorry, I'm just a beginner I'm learning about inverted chords and interval stuff.

usually when there is a connected line to the bass clef notes it is for an organist and the foot peddle to go along with the rest of the song since the book says it is a piano play along. But as I look at your question again and the book also says guitar and not being able to see the book I am going to go along with you and say it is probably for the guitarist to play the string notes with the song and the other two clefs are treble and bass clef's. Show it to some one who plays the quitar or piano they could tell you for sure, It is hard to tell with out looking at it, hope i helped a little.
