Put Your Hand
Do you put your hand over your heart when the National Anthem is being played?
I’ve seen people at sports games put their hand over their heart and some just put them behind their back or something.
Please no hate comments this is just a poll too see
I, personally, don’t. It’s not out of disrespect for my country, though. If I’m wearing a hat, I will hold that over my heart. I just don’t find it comfortable and I feel awkward. Now, you might say, “You’d rather feel not awkward than show respect for our loving country?” and I disagree. I don’t feel that putting my hand over my heart shows any more respect than having it behind my back. I feel that respect comes from standing up, showing your pride, and being aware of the words and meanings of the beloved National Anthem.
That’s my opinion. Love it or hate it.
