Church Music for Flute?
So I need your help: I’m leaving this saturday for a missions trip in Mexico and I was asked to play music at the church service on the flute. I’ve been studying flute for about six years but have played very few solos and I am not that good at sight reading. I want to play something religious and recognoziable to both the people in Mexico and the Americans. Any suggestions so easy songs would be great! Also if you have ideas of music books or where I can get free sheet music online that would be very helpful(: thanks!
You can play any melody you like on a flute. Any top line treble part will suit, just select a song. Do you know any mexican people that you can ask to suggest titles? Kids from school or the people that attend your church? Amazing grace is universal but I’ll suggest they wont care what you play. Find something you like and present it to them.
