What is a good classical musical theatre song to sing for an audition that isn’t too difficult?
I am auditioning for The Music Man…any classical music theatre songs are accepted… I am not a great singer, but need something for tryouts.
“I Could Be Happy With You” from The Boyfriend would work. It’s similar in style to The Music Man, has a great catchy melody, isn’t very taxing, is appropriate for most anyone to sing (male or female), and it fits with the standard 16 bars most auditioners want to hear.
