Slow Poke Pee
CT Scan, please help me?
So im almost 17.
I have to get a CT Scan to see why I am having so many headaches, they have to inject dye.
Please help does it hurt? I heard the dye burns and makes you feel like your peeing your pants and slows your heart beat. I have heart problems so should I ask the dr about it? And does it pull metal out of you? I have a rod in my foot.
Please I am getting over the fear of the IV because it will be a quick poke from the needle so Im just thinking of how quick the poke will be.
I am so scared its my first one and when the dr told me about the injection I almost fainted.
I know I sound dumb but its my first time and I wouldnt do it but i know it needs to be done.
any advice please help. people kept telling me “oh what a baby suck it up” but everyone is scared of something so.
Don’t panic… people have these done everyday and are jsut fine. The IV is just a small stick and the dye may burn a little going in, but its nothing terrible. Your doctor should know about any heart problems you have, but these are commonly done on people who have some heart issues. Talk to your doctor about your thoughts, but don’t panic over it. Its very quick and will be over sooner than you think.
