What would you choose as your favorite book character’s theme song?
For some reason, I have been seeing a lot of questions lately about choosing songs that fit certain books and/or characters. So, I was wondering what you would choose as your favorite character’s (from any book) theme song? Or, what is a song that, overall, suits your favorite book?
I’ve always thought that putting music to books is weird. It’s not that it’s bad. It’s just weird. I think it’s because music is such a different medium of art that it’s hard to fit into writing. Music is great for movies because it helps to set the mood, but that’s already done in books by the writer. Anyway, I’m getting a little off-topic…
Colorblind by The Counting Crows is a good song that represents a theme in Harry Potter: Racial differences should be overlooked.
Life in Technicolor by Coldplay is great in representing Harry’s stays at The Burrow.
Coyotes by Jason Mraz is a good one which represents Ron’s hormonalness in the sixth book.
My favorite series is Harry Potter, but I don’t think that any one song could represent the whole thing. There’s just too much going on, even in one book. So many layers to pick from.
