Songbook Easy Piano
Question about getting piano lessons again?
I had to quit piano lessons because my teacher insulted my family, among other things that I will not get into. Anyway, I want to have piano lessons again (with a different teacher); however, my work schedule is very unpredictable right now. I still work at home once a week, but it’s no longer on the same day. I took piano lessons for three years and play at Level 4 in the Bastien books and Level 1 in the Alfred books. I live in a fairly small town and there is a piano teacher that I want to work with (she used to go to my church and is a real nice lady), but her schedule is so extremely busy her only opening is 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays. Should I just play casually at my current level (which would feel stagnant; I can play pieces of songs here and there from my stepmother’s “easy” songbooks), should I take online piano lessons, or should I quit?
Oh honey, don’t quit! There are many online lessons, and youtube has a bunch of videos for learning more piano. I’d try those. Also, if you can try adjusting you work schedule a bit, then maybe you can take lessons from the church lady. It seems like it’d be worth it.
