Suzuki Viola School
summer practice for stringed instruments?
i play viola and im looking for something to practice over the summer so im not behind once school rolls around.
any ideas?
should i go with the next suzuki book?
If you don’t have a private teacher, and are in school orchestra/lessons, ask your teacher at school for some ideas. It’s hard to go onto the next Suzuki Book alone. I don’t know what book you’re in, but the first 4 are difficult to self teach because there are always new techniques that you may not know how to do by yourself. Maybe check into summer programs, like a week long music camp, or a longer one if you’re more advanced, something to keep you practicing and motivated. You could always form a chamber group to do something different.
