How To Create A Perfect Romantic Valentine’s Day
The fun thing about a romantic Valentine’s Day is that you don’t have to wait till the end of the day when you finally get together with your partner for that intimate dinner you’ve been planning. You can get the festivities going early, and build up the anticipation all day long. You might send roses, or hand-delivered love letters done up in elaborate calligraphy to your sweetheart at work, for example. Leave suggestive messages on their voice mail, as long as you know they’re the only person who ever checks it. There are many little things you can do to prepare for what comes later.
A Valentine’s Day full of romance can also involve just the two of you doing things together, even if the purpose isn’t explicitly romance. If you’ve been meaning to take a long drive through the snowy woods nearby, then February 14th would be a lovely day to do it. You might exchange a gift or two along the way, but just concentrating on each other’s happiness and being in each other’s company may be romantic enough. Or you could take the day off and visit that museum exhibit the two of you have been planning to see.
If you want to have a special meal, you could plan a picnic with all of your partner’s favorite dinner food. Depending on where you live, it might be a little chilly to have it outside, though you could still pick a location that’s special to the two of you. If you want to make it really something out of the ordinary, even if it’s a meal at home, you could turn it into the most romantic Valentine’s Day dinner ever, by hiring a violinist for the evening.
If you plan your romantic Valentine’s Day just right, you can begin to initiate the romance early in the day, and build it up step by step until it reaches a crescendo in the evening. After your special Valentines dinner, you can share wine and strawberries in the bedroom, with soft music and candles, perhaps with rose petals strewn around the bed. A sensuous massage may naturally lead to more intimate activities. If you pace things carefully from the moment you get up, you can make this a day your loved one will never forget.
