A Little Inspiration In The Form Of Baseball Songs
Baseball songs are absolutely everywhere in baseball. We sometimes take them for granted, but these songs are there to enhance the experience of going to the ballgame AND to express our love and passion for the game.
I was recently researching some baseball related songs and I discovered far more songs than I expected to. Songs that I just didn’t think existed, relating to baseball in ways that I didn’t even imagine.
Yes there are the common baseball tunes played at the actually baseball games themselves, getting the crowd hyped up, and getting them more involved in the game…but lets take a look at the actual baseball songs themselves.
Of course the most popular of all the baseball related songs has to be the famous “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” song. This particular baseball song was written by two people. The words were written by Jack Norworth, and the music by Albert Von Tilzer…and guess what, neither of them had attended a game prior to writing the baseball song!!
Many versions of the baseball song have been released, including a popular version by Edward Meeker, which happens to be one of my favorites. It’s a classic, you can actually hear just how classical the piece of music is, it truly is definitely worth listening to if you haven’t yet had the pleasure.
Baseball songs have most certainly made a HUGE impact in the world, inspiring many people to watch, teach and play the game of baseball!
I couldn’t imagine modern day baseball without the baseball songs that we all enjoy today!
