Help With Vibrato On The Tenor Saxophone?
I would like to know how to do vibrato on the tenor saxophone. It would really help me as I go through High School. Thanks a lot.
Interesting question. There are a few ways to do it. The easiest (in my opinion) is to loosen your embouchure only slightly to change the pitch. The more open your jaw is, the lower the pitch goes.
Practice it by holding a note, then use a little variance in the openness of your jaw, while still trying to maintain control with the air put into the horn. You don’t want a “jagged” feel in your sound, so remember to keep it flowing and controlled.
