Those Three Little Words
Why is it that three small little words can turn the most stubborn and strong minded of individuals weak at the knees? We can be coasting along without a care in the world and then be sprung along in a relationship when those three little words are first dropped into a conversation. Suddenly the vice grip of a relationship tightens around our neck and we feel as though we cannot breathe.
The words are of course I Love you, but three little words, 8 characters plant little tiny seeds of doubt in our minds. We struggle to put everything into context anymore and struggle to comprehend how we should deal with the situation. What is it we should do when we hear these three words?
Nobody in this life can really deal with the comprehension of the three words, and no three words have such greater meaning in our life. So why can we not deal with it as well as we should be able to. It doesn’t change anything in a relationship; well at least it shouldn’t on the face value of it. We are still with the same person, the same things are still in place so why the issue?
It is because we can all of a sudden see our dreams and aspirations vanishing with the thought of becoming too committed to something. If there was any sense of perspective at this time, of course we would notice that life is still the same and we can still be ourselves. Our dreams and aspirations are not over and in fact we have becoming even luckier to be able to share it with someone.
But of course we are not pragmatic and reasonable people at this stage. We no longer see things through clear glasses; everything we do is tainted to a point of disruption and hardship. Why is it we can no longer feel as if the doldrums of life are fine, and we are able to remain as before living life to the full.
If you are in love then of course life becomes a little easier. If it is mutual love then the three words may not scare you, but the realism of what has just happened means that very few can remain the same. The vice grip that love has you under is not something to underestimate, live life to the full and don’t let three words ruin everything.
