Learning To Play Drums?
Many of us started playing musical equipments at an early age. Some started with guitars and some with drum kits. When you are in school it is much easier and cheaper to learn musical instruments and it’s probably the best time to learn it as well if you are interested in music. To be honest most of us are interested in music but playing an instrument is a different story.
Experts say that people who have learnt playing instruments from young age are much better than people who started learning in the later stages of their life. Everyone knows that to become a very good musician and a very good sportsman you have to start playing at a very young age. Learning to play drums in the other hand is a different matter. Many people think thatn drums are easier to play and learn than guitars or key boards and other intruments. They say you just need to know one beat and start from that – isn’t that the same for any instruments?. Apparently all important rock beats are built around the basic 4/4 signature beat and if you first learn to play this then you can learn other beats easily – so it must have been easy for Rick Allen right? I don’t think so.
Guitars are definitely the hardest instrument to learn. People who play violin, piano, flute and leaves might question me on the above sentence. I am not going to explain why in this post as I am just going to be talking about playing drums in this post.
If you really want to start learning then you should play drums with a metronome it is a device of improve sense of timing and play in the same tempo. These days you can find electrical metronomes attached to many instruments, if not then you can always purchase one from your local music store. Nowadays there are equipments for everything guitars, dj equipment, violin, pianos, keyboards and more. You should definitely consider playing at an early age or make sure your children learn from young age.
