Voz Tenor
For tenor sax jazz/blues solos which reeds are better? La voz for Vandoren-JAVA?

Assuming cost is not an issue.
Yea I’m not beginner, I know all of my scales, can play chromatic in a matter of seconds perfectly, have perfect airflow, I sound great on vandoren. When it comes to jazz, the reed does matter. When I use Vandoren JAVA it doesn’t sound the same as when I use Regular Vandoren.

Your reed cannot improve your playing (unless you mean if you can barely play a note intune). You should practice the chords and scales of the chart and play them over and over again until you memorize it. I find reeds to be a very small factor to the sound of the sax. Yourself and the mpc would be the greatest.

Anyways, go into a shop and ask if you can buy a box of reeds with different brands of the approximate strength (larger retail stores wouldn’t do this). I’ve tried the Vandoren-Java mpc and it’s pretty good with the Rico plasticover reed I have. Plasticover reeds are really great and they’re pretty bright and great for jazz/blues and rock/rRnb stuff will work too. Vandoren said that java reeds would work well with their mpc. I can’t comment on La Voz reeds because I’ve only tried one that was laying around and the size was too stiff or the reed was bad.
