Help selecting trumpet mouthpiece?

ok. the way i play trumpet is on my bottom lip. which means that my mouthpiece is shifted downward to my bottom lips and barely any metal on top lip. so my top lip over laps the mouthpiece. the mouthpiece that i have is a Denis Wick 1C. when i try to play high notes air leaks out of the side of my lips. does this mean that the mouthpiece is too small and i have to get a bigger rim size, maybe a Dinis Wick 2W. plz help me. and also what do i call the way i play?

I call the way you play ridiculous. The lip position you have described is similar to walking with one shoe. The lips must buzz in conjunction with each other, not necessarily a 50/50 . You will see a lot of french horn players using 2/3 upper and 1/3 lower to drop the lower lip in the low register.
I am liberal in saying that if you sound well you can stand on your head and play BUT you are not .
It’s tough but change to 50/50 and stop trying to buy success in a mouthpiece.
