Flute sheet music – non traditional?

I’m going to be giving my graduate flute recital next Spring and I’m looking for music to perform. I’ve been searching and haven’t found much that interests me.

Here are combinations I’m looking for:

Flute and Piano
Woodwind Quintet
Solo Flute
Jazz Flute/Small Combo
Flute Duet/Trio

If you know of any music that’s interesting, but not performed often that would be good to know about too.

Thank you sooo much!

Do you mean graduate recital – as in GRADUATE school – a Masters degree? If so – how do you NOT know sources for this literature? First /obvious place to look is www.fluteworld.com. If you wish to discuss this with thousands of professional flutists, then start by joining the Yahoo group FLUTENET. There are others – they are useless. From there, you might wish to ask this on the NFA site, the Galway list, the Krantz list – there are many. the best source for public-domain music is The Clarinet Institute – their flute CD-Rom has more stuff on it than the www.cdsheetmusic.com one – including a lots of chamber music, some of it really odd. All OLD editions – but what the heck – for twelves bucks . . . .

We have SO much great literature – we all have our favorites. Combining this into an effective recital is the challenge. I have done this hundreds of times in my life – and my husband is a wonderful pianist, plus we work with fine string players in our chamber music business – so I am spoiled rotten, I know. We need FAAAAAAR more info from you if you want help -this is way too vague – like saying “plan my wedding for me”.
