What is the best brand of student beginner trumpet to buy?
We are renting a yamaha YTR-2335 but need to purchase one. What would be a decent trumpet in comparison to this one? Will be used in concert band and also pep band.

Well, you have one of the best student model trumpets you could have for your child. Why not just buy one of those? There are others….. the King603 is good. The Bach 200. Conn has the director model and I think Getzen has a beginner trumpet as well.
Of all those I have mentioned, you will probably find the Conn is the least expensive. Try to find a used trumpet in excellent condition… this is the best route you can go and I venture to say, you can find one for $300 – $450.
Look for used in your local newspaper classifieds, eBay, bullitin boards, Craigslist. org for your city or call around to local music stores to see if they have used instruments for sale…
